Found on Small + Friendly: Adventures in Modern Homemaking

Mix a couple of items that you may already have on hand in the kitchen together to make this sensory experience.  The secret ingredient of coconut oil helps to avoid dry outs and this is more natural and cheaper than some store bought playdoughs.

This activity helps your child with the hand motions and coordination needed to spread.  Notes: If your child is allergic to peanuts, they can still do this activity with the help of an alternate butter (i.e. sun butter, almond butter, etc.).  Be sure to provide a plastic utensil or un-serrated butter knife that will not have a sharp edge.
